About the course:
Are you working as an Electrical Assistant or in the electrical field and want to become a Qualified Electrician? All you need is a minimum of 3 years working experience in the electrical field in order to qualify.
Our training centre will prepare you for your ARPL and Trade Test.
What is ARPL?
INSPECTION AND TESTING
Installation test – single/three phase
3 phase / 1 phase motor test
INSTALLATION WORK
Combination of steel, PVC conduit, surflex, trunking, flexible conduit and armoured cable
FAULT FINDING
3-phase star/delta
3-phase sequence starting
3-phase forward and reverse
1-phase forward and reverse
MOTOR AND STARTER
Auto star / delta
Two speed motor
Autotransformer
PANEL WIRING
Metering (energy meters 1ph / 3ph)
Sequence starting
Load balancing
1-phase forward and reverse

Duration of course:
Trade Test Preparation, ARPL and Trade Test
- 20 days including Preparation, ARPL Exam & Trade Test.
- First week training for ARPL Exam. Exam date will be provided on date of ARPL exam.
- 15 days preparation for Trade Test Exam.
- 2 days Trade Test Exam.
- Price: R 15 900.00 including VAT.
- Monday to Thursday (07:30 – 16:30)
- Friday (07:30 – 15:00)
- Lunch Time: 12:00 – 13:00
- Coffee and Tea is provided.
ARPL & Trade Testing Only
- ARPL Exam: 1 Day Only
- Trade Test Exam: 2 Days Only
- Price: R 5 500.00 including VAT.
- Monday to Thursday (07:30 – 16:30)
- Friday (07:30 – 15:00)
- Lunch Time:12:00 – 13:00
- Coffee and Tea is provided.
